Meet The Staff

At A to Z Childcare Centre, all staffs are Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and licensed, have a current first aid certificate, a criminal record check, a physician’s declaration of suitability and letters of recommendation.
We ensure that staffs participate in ongoing professional development by talking workshops to develop new skills.
 

Beena Shah

Over 10 Years of Experience

Beena Shah, main co-coordinator has worked at Vancouver City Hall Childcare Centre since year 2000 before opening her own in 2006. She has displayed her leadership skills as a union shop steward and bargain committee member. She holds an Early Childhood Educator and Infant and Toddler certification of 2 years. She also has a Bachelor of Education degree and has a vast experience working with the children. She co-ordinates with parents and staffs and takes lead role for the day-to-day activities to run the centers smoothly.
 

Jean Chen - Manager at: 15438 92nd Avenue Surrey BC V3R 5W1

She is having an Early Childhood Educator and Infant & Toddler certification. She is very devoted childcare staff and puts extra efforts to make environment more pleasant for children and with the staff. Her positive calm disposition and creativeness makes children happy and comfortable. Jean is reliable, flexible, realistic, sensitive staff. She has a strong leadership qualities and ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
 

Daw Nyunt

Daw has Early Childhood Educator certification and vast experience working with children. She is highly trustworthy individual, always thoughtful and warm. She enjoys being with children. She is outgoing, enthusiastic, detail oriented and wonderful team player. Daw is an excellent self-starter, mature, positive and patient. She is very good in retaining children interest and maximizes their learning interest within a group.
 

Janet Jarder

She has joined us as Early Childhood Educator. She is pre-school staff. She has valuable experience of working with children of all age group. She has very good incorporating constructivism to enhance learning outcome from young age group. She has ability to relate with children of diverse cultural background and to tailor teaching methods to suits their individual needs.
 

Iris Kao - infant/toddler staff

She came to Canada in year 1999 with her parents and two brothers. She loves to live in Canada. 3 years ago, she closed a business of bubble tea house as she was inspired by her friend who was working at childcare centre and decided to take Early Childhood Education. She has just finished infant/toddler post basic program. During the learning, she enjoyed in working with children and always shared fun things in her works. She joined A to Z Childcare Centre in September 2009.
 

Manpreet Bal - infant/toddler staff

Joined us in July, 2011. She has completed Early childhood Education, Infant Toddler and Special Needs from MTI Community College. She is in this career because she enjoys working with children. She has worked with children as a babysitter since she was about 10 years old. She is warm, energetic, and loving person. She enjoys assisting children with their learning needs and providing proficient care.
 

Colleen Masters - qualified Early Childhood Educator staff

She is in the childcare field for 15 years. She also has her Montessori Certificate. She likes to teach children and observe them to grow. Her goal is to help them on the road to becoming happy productive and independent in their learning experience.

Nalini Appadoo

She has 10 years of experience as an elementary teacher. Her Area of speciality is mainly French Art. She finished her Early Childhood Educator from Vancouver Community College and has experience of both pre-school and childcare setting. She believes it is her duty, first and foremost to be a learner. She likes to learn all the time so that she will be able to provide safe and welcoming environment to children. She believe in importance to learn about each child and their background which she feels is very important to make child fit into classroom at the same time learn and enjoy what they are doing.

Janet Carreon

A very jolly, passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator since 2010. She is glad to be in this field since 2 years considering that she was a nanny for few years. She was to help her employers' children to do school homework, plan daily activities and meal planning. Now that she is in this field, she is very happy to be a part of kids care and share her skills with other staffs of A to Z Childcare Centre with smiles and dedication. She loves to teach kids, share the laughter and joy and to be a part of their everyday learning.


Nina Wang Lu - Early Childhood Educator

She immigrated from China and living with husband, son and daughter. She did Early Childhood Educator course from MTI Community College in 2009 and since then working at A to Z Childcare Center. She loves being with children, watching them playing and believe that seeing kids growing everyday is a wonderful thing! She would like to contribute her patience, love and enthusiasm to kids for the rest of her life.

Sukhi Mann - Early Childhood Educator

She is fun, loving, caring, and honest individual who loves working with children. She has 3 years of experience working with children. She also enjoys reading, exercising, traveling, learning new language and spending time with her 3 years old daughter. Her philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way and believes in hands on experience, learning creatively and learning through play. She is looking forward to interacting with children with different cultural background.
 

Jenel Torres - infant/toddler staff

She graduated from high school in 2006. She took one year off of school to figure out what she wanted to do. Within that year she became a nanny and decided that working with children would be her career. She went to Douglas College where she got Early Childhood Education, Special Needs & Infant and Toddler Diploma. She joined A to Z Childcare Centre in March 2010 as a practicum student and was hired since then.


Arpana Hara

A new graduate from MTI and she has Early Childhood Education, infant/toddler and special need certificate. She came to Canada in January 2010 and had her Nursing Degree from India. She loves doing crafts and other fun outdoors activities. She has always loved being with children and enjoying their "free spirits" and creative side. Caring for young children has shown her that life doesn't get much better than that!!! She always looks forward to working with the infants and toddlers at our center each day.


Cecilia Lalisan

She has more than 10 years of experience of teaching religious in Philippines. She immigrated to Canada with her family in April 2009. She has finished her Early Childhood Educator and continues infant/toddler post basic program from Vancouver Community College. She has passion to work with people who are dedicated toward Community Service and that is the reason she choose the childcare field. She considered herself very fortunate to be a part of Canadian living and enjoying this unique experience of multi-cultures and diversity.


Shruti Saiyadh

She also joined us as Early Childhood Educator Assistant. She was an elementary teacher and has enrolled herself in ECE program to learn more about young age group and Canadian culture. She has master degree of "Microbiology". She is an excellent storyteller and holds young children attention for long period of time and involves them to participate.

 

Rosalie Condez

Has just finished the Early Childhood Education program from MTI Community College. She also graduated with a bachelor's degree from a university in her country and had been in the field of teaching for more than 10 years. She believes that teaching is not an easy job but it is one the most community rewarding careers a person can have. She takes joy and pride in helping children develops their skills and knowledge, to have a positive impact on their lives and promote in them the love for learning.
